NCOA stands for National Change of Address and is a special database that has the most up-to-date address info for people across Canada. We use this to check audience lists provided to us to ensure that addresses are correct and that people still live in the locations you are providing. This also removes people that may be deceased or moved out of your trade area.
We use this to remove bad names & addresses or to correct poorly formatted addresses to ensure delivery.
PostNow currently offers 3-4 various campaign size options for each type of direct mail. The direct mail campaign size formats shown are all in inches.
While other sizes are available to print, the standard options made available were picked because of the balance between standing out in the mailbox and still being cost-effective to produce with our print equipment.
From order to delivery can be as quick as eight business days for a Neighbourhood Mail campaign.
Once your campaign is inducted to a Canada Post facility, you can expect your campaign to be delivered based on the current Smartmail Marketing delivery standards. This information is found on pages 3-5 here – Canada Post Smartmail Marketing Delivery Standards.
Due to the complexity of determining when your campaign can reach homes, please feel free to contact our team for more details on your particular campaign.
You can use our Neighbour Mail Audience Builder to target select neighbourhoods. Here’s a short 2-minute demo on how to target a neighbourhood, including adding demographic filters.
Note you only need to outline the area you want to target. We will use the Precision Targeter tool to find your campaign’s matching neighbourhoods and households.
PostNow does not accept pre-printed mail pieces* for mailing services. However, there are companies that specialize in handling pre-printed items, such as One To One Mailing in Edmonton or other direct mail houses across Canada. Visit One To One Mailing for more information.
If you’ve already printed your mailers, the fees for preparing and mailing them will depend on the direct mail company you choose to work with. These costs can vary based on factors like the type of material and project scope. For a list of options, check out the Canada Post Partner Directory.
For DIY enthusiasts, Canada Post’s online tools, such as Precision Targeter, can help you plan and execute a direct mail campaign. These tools allow you to target specific neighborhoods, demographics, and more.
*When it comes to special items like calendars, magnets, or other unique materials, PostNow evaluates these projects on a case-by-case basis. Contact us to discuss the specifics of your project.
